Canadians! Tell me about your city!?
I currently live in Ontario, and have traveled all around Canada. My boyfriend and I want to eventually live in a small town, preferably away from all the big industry stuff, big cities, technology etc. We live in Toronto right now and hate it. When we lived in Ottawa, it was beautiful. No sky-high towers, really old buildings made it nice.
I love the culture out east, but we would both love to live in the mountains on the west coast. A nice small town, where you have everything you need, great scenery, small-town folk and small-town businesses. We're actually hoping to start our own business- spiritual psychotherapy, holistic health, natural spas, etc. A healing place, really.
So, if you live in Canada and this sounds like your town, please! Tell me everything! We would love to explore and settle down in a great town in this great country.

Sounds like you're looking for a laid-back, low-key, free spirited environment. Try Ganges, British Columbia. It's on Saltspring Island. One of the Gulf Islands between mainland BC and Vancouver Island.

Vancouver and Victoria..they have old building and are very laid back. It's such a great city and i love it.

I'm Torontonian and i love my city
but if you're looking for something more relaxed i'd recommend the west coast which you already have in mind
