I’m currently a high school junior and I’m considering taking an advanced course in Chemistry next year, but I plan on taking a future career in Psychiatry and I’m not exactly sure if an advanced course in Chemistry would be of a benefit for pursuing a career in Psychiatry.

Both of them are doctors so would it be possible to major in both?
My mom keeps telling me you can only earn a degree in one thing but I thought you could do both? I can’t decide if I want to do dermatology or psychiatry. Both interest me a lot.
Are they too different though?
