Do endocrinologists accept referral letters for HRT from online therapists?

I am looking for a therapist to provide a referral letter for HRT (hormone replacement therapy) and it seems that the online therapists are less expensive than seeing one in person. My question is will a endocrinologist or PCP accept a referral letter from them? I am starting HRT to transition from male to female. I am transgendered. If anyone has any advice or their own experience to offer I would really appreciate it….Thanks!

All I can say is call and ask. Sorry I just don’t know. I’ve only known a couple people who’ve used this route and they never really discussed this aspect of it.

I don’t know of any online therapists, but I would assume that so long as they (and you) are following the standards of care, and they are legitimate therapists, a letter from them should be valid.

    EDIT:
Lameppl Suk is just angry because he can’t spell, and his Yahoo! name won’t fit on a license plate - although, once he hits the joint, he could probably make a custom one.
