Do they have inpatient treatment for depression?
My depression is out of control. I am completely miserable and cannot find joy in anything. This is really taking a toll on my relationship with my son and fiance. I sleep 14 hours a day, am not eating, and do not enjoy doing things i used to. I have gone to regular outpatient therapy and it did not help. I have recently started anti depressants. I live in upstate ny and have CDPHP through medicaid and am pretty certain this will be covered or partially covered.

Yes, they have inpatient. And if you feel like you need it, I think you should go for it. They also have residental treatment which is months of treatment instead of weeks like inpatient is.
Also, remember that it’s not easy getting over such things, but if you want to get better you can achieve it. =)

Most counties in every state in our country have a mental health clinic funded through the state. Even if your medicaid doesn’t cover it, their business office can apply for assistance in your behalf. However, i’m sure the medicaid would cover mental health treatments.
You might ask your doctor for a referral.
Sometimes we are clinically depressed, and therapy alone isn’t the answer. With luck your anti-depressants will help you. They can take a few weeks to kick in - everyone is different. If you have questions, consult the doctor or pharmacist with questions.
Give the medication a chance, and keep your doctor informed as to how they are helping or not. Sometimes doses have to be adjusted, etc. Your doctor doesn’t know how you’re doing unless you tell him.
Once you start feeling somewhat better, you may want to try therapy again. With therapy, we have to understand that it only works when WE work it… therapy takes effort. The patient is the person who has to work toward better things. The therapist is there to help us find direction…
I hope things work out well for you.

Yes they do have inpatient treatment for depression. In order to get into an inpatient though you have to be in an ambulance. So go to the emergency room and they will guide you from there.
