Are you certain it’s psychiatry you want to go into or could it be psychology? If you don’t know the difference, then start by going to these sites:

    http://www.apa.org/
    http://www.psych.org/

Both of these sites will provide you information about pursuing careers.

    Yes, you do.
    Biology, Pre-med, Psychology
    It probably starts around $70,000.

Yes, you become a doctor and then you take a field like psychiatrist and it is 4 more years.

Salary is about 120,000 + a year if you work for a hospital. If you do your private practice it depends how many costumers you have.

Usually you work for a practice and after 2 years you will be offered to become an owner.

As a mental health professional with 20+ years experience, now retired, I can point out that all psychiatrists have the letters "M.D." after their names, and there’s only one way you can get those credentials: Med School. The salary you draw depends on where you practice: geographically and situationally. God Bless you.

A PRE- MED PROGRAM WITH LOTS OF PSYCHOLOGY ELECTIVES. AFTER YOUR BS YOU WOULD NEED TO HAVE YOUR M.D. AND THEN THE PSYCHIATRY DEGREE.
