Does insurance cover a psychiatrist or a clinical psychologist for a learning disability?
psychiatrist (MD+Residency in Psychiatry — now mostly bio-chemical and drugs that work on imbalances) or clinical psychologist (PhD in Psychology — often ‘talk therapy’) .
I believe I have ADD or ADHD… and I want to see a psychiatrist or a clinical psychologist…. to see if I have it and get some treatment, But I don’t have much money. are they expensive? How much to see if you have ADD or ADHD? do most insurance cover it?

well first off i have to say that thats very important, and no matter what, do go get it checked out. sadly, those services are pretty expensive for instance if i didnt have my insurance, itd cost me $150 per visit plus hundreds more for the meds, thats with no insurance unless you get something like medi-cal or (depends where you live i think the name(s) could vary) which if you qualify for, gives you health coverage for free. but if you DO have insurance depends on the type but reguardless, if you do have it, you should be good. same thing with a psychologist/therapist, they are pretty pricy too. just do whatever you need to do to be able to go to one or both. good luck
