I am thinking about going to school online to be a Physical Therapy aide. What online schools are accredited?
I need to choose a school where I can transfer the credits from online to a university in the future, and does this job pay well? I keep getting mixed reviews. Any info helps, thanks!

Mary is right…the online schools for aide accreditation are completely worthless. Why spend $800-1,500 for a job that requires no formal training and only pays $9-11 an hour…jobs are scarce for aides. Your credits will not transfer to a university.
If you need a career that requires a short amount of education, I’d look into being a physical therapist assistant. You cannot do online education for it, but it’s an actual career.

PT aide is not accredited. It is a scam. It is all on the job training
PTA (assistant) schools need to be accredited but are not online.
PTA do well for a 2 year degree. It is highly respected. There are plenty of jobs.

It depends what state you would like to work in, but most states require at least an Associate degree in the area of Health, although I think it doesn’t specifically have to be in Physical Therapy. Check with the state you are going to work in about that. Then you usually have to be licensed, which is a test.
So, I think you would look into getting an Associates in the health subject area. To make sure the credits will transfer, make sure it is from a Regionally Accredited University. Here is just one suggestion, from a legitimate school that is accredited and on the lower-end of cost:

Median annual earnings in the industries employing the largest numbers of physical therapist assistants in May 2008 were: $51,950 for home health care services; $51,090 for nursing care facilities; $45,510 from general medical and surgical hospitals; and $43,390 for doctors’ offices.
