I completely understand, I’ll sit right next to you. I don’t know how many meds I’ve taken, how many doctors and therapists’ I’ve seen, I know what you are saying. There is no cure for depression, only management and that is hard to come by. Do you see your Psychiatrist regularly? What has he or she said? I’m looking into hypnosis, the ECT, the electronic implant and a few others. Go online for depression treatments and follow the web sites or try the NAMI web site and ask them for more info. Don’t give up. I also suggest a local support group at a nearby hospital, that is a great help. People in the support groups feel exactly the same way and they can help and you may make a few friends as well. I’m hangin in there, write anytime if you need to, glolopn919@yahoo.com

    1. Try Byron Katie. Her worksheets are on her website and her videos are on youtube.

    2. If you get panic attacks, sign up for the free emails on the panicaway website.

    3. Try reading Patrick Holford’s "Low GL diet" - blood sugar imbalances can cause havoc with your body and symptoms include depression, mood swings, tiredness, drowsiness after eating, cravings for sweet foods, headaches, heart palpitations, anxiety, irritability, agrressive outbursts, crying spells, excessive sweating, dizziness and trembling.

    4. Keep two journals. One for writing down all your feelings, this is really good for clearing out your anxieties and getting all your
war onto paper, you can delete it straight after if you need to, it’s just good to really see your stressful thinking. And the other can be your gratitude journal - write down all the things you are grateful for that happened today.

    5. Read "Happiness is a Choice" by Barry Neils Kauffman. Here is a link about a girl who was suicidal and came out of her depression. http://www.option.org/custom:single,595

    6. Read "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz. He discusses what he calls the mitote - the thousand voices in your head that can cause so much fear and confusion in all of us. He teaches how to deal with these images, voices and fears.

    Take care.

what saved my life was seeing an infectious diseaes Dr that follows the ILADS guidelines for PCR blood work,,,I suffered for decades from severe depression…what she found was that I have several bacterial blood infections that are never tested for . The PCR test found the bacterial DNA and after 3 years of treatment my life has never been so wonderful. The treatment is not easy if you’re at ropes end as I was you’ll do anything. The ILADS did a study of 1800 long term depressive patients and found that 30% had blood infections and everyone of that 30% that stayed in treatment improved dramatically.
