I need information on how to become a Psychiatrist?
I want to pursue a career in Psychiatry and need useful information about it. Im 19 years old and live in Orange County. I would like to know what to expect with this job, how many years of school and the cost, which colleges are the best and other helpful information! Websites would help too!

You can become a psychiatrist by attending any medical school. I would go on line and type in ‘top 10 medical schools" and see where that takes you. As for what to expect with the job, you’re only limited by your imagination and if you choose to specialize. As for the cost, I have no idea, really. You would have to investigate that with the schools that interest you. What I do know is this, A friend of mine is a psychiatrist and when he graduated 10 years ago he was almost $250,000 in debt just from going to college and medical school. My niece is planning on becoming a dr, and is in her first year of college and she is looking at roughly $60,000 in expenses she says, for the first year.
