Is it wrong to have been inspired to study psychiatry from the fiction character hannibal lecter ?





The psychological aspect of the hannibal lecter movies is pretty much the only thing i enjoy, i find the cannibalism horrific.But something about lecters ability to read others sparked a deep interest in me,ever since then psychiatrys been like a rabbitt hole for me ,im always finding something new and exciting.im planning on becoming a counselor.

    Dr. Hannibal Lecter had a talent. Like everyone else in this world, it’s up to you, regarding how you use this talent. If you remember from the film "Silence of the lambs", Lecter brainwashed his neighboring cellmate "Miggs" into committing suicide. According to the guard, he was "whispering to him all day". That’s a pretty scary talent; to know the human mind so well, you can’t help but manipulate it.

    You must keep in mind your intentions in order to understand yourself. You must also know yourself in order to know others. If you do not have this you may be experiencing reflections of anger that the Hannibal character is feeling. It is not wrong to be captivated by this story. In all writing there is something to learn. Because you are open to learning it puts you ahead of the game as long as your intentions are to help others and not eat them. (:
