He did’t offer formal diagnostics (he never cared about diagnostic too much), advice (the therapy was client-centered, which means that it was centered on the clients’ capacity for self-direction and understanding of his or her own development), or interpretation of the patients’ unconscious motives. On the other hand Freud and Jung did offer formal diagnostics and an interpretation of the unconcious motives. Beck and Ellis did offer a formal diagnostic and advice.
