    I will tend to agree that psychotherapy has become an insurance scam.

    Many people become (psychologically) dependent on therapy.. I know of several people in my field that are object relation therapists, I am short term adjustment oriented.

    I agree with the premise that the majority of people that present to therapy are due in most part to the nature of our society…

    Things that would resolve many therapy issues are a return to traditional nuclear family..

    I believe therapy should be outcome based. If a person presents with adjustment issues, therapy should be limited by insurance to no more then 2 months. I've known one therapist that has seen several women 2x/per week for several years.. If I were the insurance company I would critique this therapist and report her to the state board.
