Hi,
I need to see a therapist and I don’t know if it matters whether I choose a clinical psychologist or a clinical social worker with psychotherapy training.
I was diagnosed with ADHD and was recommended to be treated with cognitive behavioral therapy.
Thanks.

Independent-Samples T-Test Computations?
March 31, 2011
H0: No weight difference before and after cognitive behavioral therapy: µ = 0
Ha: Weights are greater after cognitive therapy: µ > 0, a = 0.05
Decision Rule: If ((Xmean - µ)Sx/v(n)) > tst(n – 2; 1 – a) Reject H0
Xmean = ?xi/n = 87.2/30 = 2.91p
S2 = (?xi2 - n*Xmean2)/(n - 1)
(1757.80 - 30*2.92)/29 = 51.91379310

What is your opinion on psychiatry?
August 24, 2010
I strongly support cognitive behavioral therapy, psychology, clinical psychology, but, when it comes to psychiatry, I have my doubts. As we know, psychiatry is revolved around diagnosing medical conditions and treating them with medications, it is sometimes used in combination with cognitive behavioral therapy, but not exclusively, and psychiatry is just that on its own, [...]

Depression, getting worse?
November 27, 2009
I’ve been depressed for years, and just started getting treatment for it… both medication and cognitive behavioral therapy. I am also a self harmer… but I had not done it in a long time.

I’ve had CBT before for other things and am not really sure how [...]
I’ve learned that I have a Social Anxiety Disorder - what’s the next step in pursuing treatment?
November 6, 2009
It’s sort of a self diagnoses. I’ve been asking around for years and doing research off and on and I came across the symptoms for Social Anxiety Disorder.
