what is this career called?

I’m about to be a junior in high school and everyone keeps telling me that this is the most important year because it’s the year that colleges look at. I’m not positive that i know what i want to be but therapy keeps coming up. I want to have my own office and be able to talk to my clients and help them with their issues. im not sure if this is called psychotherapy, therapy, psychology, or what. there’s so many different names for it and its confusing me. i wanna work with people of all ages mainly teenagers though. can someone tell me what the name of this career is so i can start looking at some possible college choices?

also if you know some colleges that have programs for what i want to be please name them. preferable colleges in california or down south,. thanks.
