If you don’t know this then it is a safe assumption you aren’t familiar with the entire process of how to become a physician. This site provides a good overview of what you need to know: http://people.howstuffworks.com/becoming-a-doctor9.htm

If you attend your state university, their pre-med program will meet the state university’s medical school’s admission requirements. If you plan on attending a different medical school you need to research the requirements for each school where you intend to apply, as all medical schools have the same core requirements, but every school is able to add additional requirements unique to that school.

Do well in all of your classes, research what you need to do to prepare for the MCAT.

Major in something you love ( which I would presume is Psychology) and def. do the pre med track, in which you would have to take the requirements for med school like bio, chem physics and calculus. Get a really good GPA in all of your classes especially in your pre med classes. Apply to a lot of different medical schools and hopefully get into one that you really wanted to get into.

OH and def. be involved in different groups in college like a pre med society or AMSA. Also, you should get hands on experience for example shadow a doctor before you go really far into your college career. You might end up realizing that you hate it or can’t stand to look at blood.

    Good luck!
