What to do in college/medical school to become a psychiatrist?
I really plan on working as a Child and Adolescent psychiatrist but the problem is that there is a lack of information online. I keep searching colleges because there are accelerated programs to complete medical school in less than 8 years. I found B.S/M.D and M.D/PhD programs but I don’t know the difference. Can someone help me by giving me specific details….maybe even their own path to becoming a Child and Adolescent psychiatrist?

BS/MD and BA/MD are a combined undergraduate degree and a medical degree program. They admit exceptional high school students to get a bachelors in a field (that may or not be dictated by the program), and they are guaranteed a spot in medical school 4 years later after they complete their BA or BS.
MD/PhD is a post graduate program in medical school for people who want to be more involved in research while still being a doctor. It is not an accelerated program, and is only open to people applying to medical school.

Rohan answered your B.S/M.D and M.D/PhD program question quite accurately.
B.S/M.D - accelerated undergraduate bachelors degree, combined with medicine
M.D/PhD - graduate program encompassing both medicine and research for those research-inclined individuals.
I’m slowly making my way to medical school for Psychiatry/Neurology myself.
The general route to medical school involves completing a bachelors degree in any program that interests you (anything from biomedical science to music) so long as you have the prerequisites (Biology, Chemistry - Inorganic and Organic, Physics, - and Calculus is required by some schools). Make sure to attain a high GPA (~3.8+), gain some volunteer experience in a (healthcare related) field, and research experience.
