What to do when doctors attribute symptons to other conditions?

I have ADD, clinical depression, and anxiety disorders….I have also been diagnosed with bipolar…However, the bipolar medications don’t work…they only seem to excaberate my ADD symptons and lethargy, confusion…I don’t feel like myself , rather I feel angry and extremely foggy. I have been experimenting with several differrent drug therapies in conjunction with cognitive behavioral therapies…The antphscotic drugs and bipolar dampen my intelligence…causing a depressed and sluggish state…i know what drugs work and have read a lot about treatments…but I self medicated for years, therefore I have problems getting the right medication and credibility…even though I have proven trustworthy….My life is exceptionally hard right now….if anyone has any suggestions…Please HELP!!! I am so upset with these medications but know I must get the right ones to live a functional life. How can I develop a credibility with doctor, I have done my best to communicate but it doesn’t help
I’m not self medicationg!!!duh

Keep trying to find a doctor that will openly communicate with you. It is very hard, but once you find one, stick with it.

Stop self-medicating. This is never good. Be honest and open with your doctor. Drugs and medications are good but also look on other aspects of life that might help you get better such as a positive attitude, spending time with family and friends, and always counting your blessings. There are always more people out there who are suffering more than you are. Enjoy life.
