when people talk about the negative aspects of psychiatry are they comparable to UFO junkies?
people who say there is no evidence suggesting a chemical imbalance underlying mental disorders, people who crusade against "mass drugging of society", people who think fluoride is bad for them, etc… are they just low-lifes who have nothing better to do?

Ahhh… Well, calling them lowlifes without knowing anything about it yourself is just as bad as them saying that there is no chemical imbalances without any proof. Some people actually have done their science and may have " believe" something, but others have been told a certain thing or bought up to think a certain way.
Just like everyone else in the world something or someone has made them think that way, just because they think different to the majority of people doesn’t make them "lowlifes".

Some are cranks just out to make trouble, however there is a lot of truth to some of what they are saying. (A memo uncovered from one of the big drug manufacuers states their mission is to get every man, woman and child taking pills of some kind. Why do you think they keep making up new deases in their ads?!)

Umm, they have a point, it’s just that their point isn’t nearly as important as they think it is. There are a lot of doctors who make a quick diagnosis and give powerful drugs for it, even when the condition could be helped better by other means–there really is too much drugging of society going on. What happens next is that they hear about this and go to the other extreme–they try to be as pure and drug-free as possible, so they start skipping immunizations, refusing to dring orange juice that has been pasteruized, and other silly nonsense like that. It’s like the people who read a report that Mexico turned dangerous with drug warfare so they vacation in a more dangerous American city with just as many gangs instead–the read about a real issue, and then go to extremes to keep themselves from being harmed by it.
