where do i start if i want to be a counsellor?

I'm desperate for a career change. Ive trained as a hairdresser in London for 3 and half years. Ive moved last year to work locally. so I've done hairdressing for getting on 6years and i just want to be a counsellor so much, but have no idea where to start. I want to counsel kids with problems. can anyone help me?
